And the winner is . . . Meredith College!

Well, as many of you already know (not that there are "many" of you even following this dusty blog), we are moving to Raleigh, NC, this summer. I have accepted a position at Meredith College, a longstanding women's liberal arts college. You'll find some basic facts about the school here. We're very happy with the prospect of living in North Carolina––everyone raves about the state––and still remaining fairly close to Nashville (8-hour drive). Of course, it would have been nice to move closer to friends and family out West––we tried our best––but we're certain that between our trips out that way and yours this way, we'll continue to see you often.

We feel very blessed to land a job this year with the way the market is. Many universities and colleges have had hiring freezes, keeping departments from being able to move forward with the job searches that had been approved. It will be hard to leave Nashville and the many friends we have made here. Music City has been so good to us. Fortunately, we'll be close enough to road trip back to Nashville on occasion.
