Goodbye Nashville

One of the hardest things to say goodbye to:
Las Paletas!
These delicious Mexican popsicles
were one of our favorite treats in Nashville.
Our favorite flavor: Raspberry Lime
(my mouth watering just writing the name of it)

Here's a final shot of Jon's carrel at Vanderbilt. Jon would like to refer
to it as the "not-to-be-forgotten carrel."
Clever little whip.

He was sad to leave this, until he got keys to . . . .
HIS VERY OWN OFFICE!!
After 6 years of graduate school, this is a big day:)

One day I might move out of a cube and into my very own office. Congrats to Jon, I can't wait to read his reviews after this semester, they always make me smile that his students see his greatness as well. Go get em Jonny!

You didn't think we wouldn't check out your blog as soon as we got home now did you?? It's terrific! Emily, when you get back we'll take you to Raleigh's own Mexican popsicle palace. Actually you may have already discovered LocoPops, they have a little outpost not too far from Merideth.
